What started in our home kitchen quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Tyler, our founder, began with one simple oven and a drive to master the craft — cranking up the heat on a Gozney Dome, testing dough recipes, and pushing every limit from our backyard. Night after night, the aroma of fresh pizza filled our home. Each batch got better. Friends and family started lining up. We shared our pies online, and the response was clear: it was time to go bigger.

Weekend pop-ups turned into sellouts. So we built our first trailer — powered by a Gozney Dome — and took our pizza to the public. An unexpected opportunity at The Hub in Kennewick opened up, and before construction was even finished, we said yes. Tyler left his 10-year job to pursue this full-time, and The Pizza Box officially hit the scene in July 2023.

While running full-time at The Hub, we kept investing in our craft. In August 2024, we trained with renowned pizzaiolo Leo Spizzirri to refine our dough process and raise our standard of execution. That fall, we built our new trailer with a commercial-grade brick oven and launched it in October 2024 — a turning point in both flavor and efficiency. Just two months before going fully mobile, Tyler completed training at Pizza University in May 2025 under World Pizza Champions Siler Chapman and Leo Spizzirri. That education sharpened every part of our operation — from fermentation to fire control — and laid the foundation for our next move.

In July 2025, we made the leap — leaving The Hub and going fully mobile. With our new trailer and brick oven in full swing, The Pizza Box now hits the road, serving hand-stretched, fire-powered pizza at private events, weddings, breweries, wineries, and select pop-ups across the region.

This move wasn’t just about mobility — it was about growth. We wanted to bring artisan pizza to more communities, take on high-impact events, and build a business that moves with purpose. Every service is a chance to connect, improve, and deliver something real. We’re loving the journey, learning every day, and always pushing to get better.
